From a point of view cool, The focus of promoting sustainability in the workplace tends to be on the issue of equal opportunities, The aim of the programme is to promote the creation of a solid and consistent organisation, as well as defending human rights.

More than a concept, the sustainability has become a growing concern for various public officials and, dare we say it, for every citizen. Based on three dimensions (economic, environmental and social), is a benchmark for political, business and individual actions. According to some recent studies, one in two consumers tend to change their consumption habits in favour of sustainability.

In this sense, there is a clear concern in large companies, but also, increasingly, in small and medium-sized, in rethinking production and distribution processes, not least in order to generate more profits (economic dimension). But does its role in promoting sustainability end there? A communication and the development of sustainable practices have been shown to influence employee behaviour both inside and outside companies.

Thus, when efficient use is made of office supplies, The use of public transport or to carsharing, a separating rubbish is stimulated, or reuse, people's habits are influenced not only by their work context (environmental dimension).

However, it would be difficult to talk about sustainability without addressing the social dimension, which tends to be operationalised through the concept of CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility, in particular by valuing employees, the guarantee of equal opportunities and a safe workplace, in a healthy environment, as well as decent pay. These practices contribute to building a positive company image, with an impact on public opinion, but also in attracting and managing talent.

From a point of view cool, The focus of promoting sustainability in the workplace tends to be on the issue of equal opportunities, The aim of the programme is to promote the creation of a solid and consistent organisation, as well as defending human rights.

Following on from this, the legislator has been introducing these issues as real questions of compliance, through the creation and publication of legislation. For example Law no. 60/2018, of 21 August, This consists of the introduction of measures to promote the equal pay for women and men, The article stipulates that companies with more than 50 employees must ensure that there is a pay gap assessment plan, with the aim of promoting transparent policies and ensure equal pay.

In short, the workplace a privileged channel to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices and behaviours, only when all three dimensions (economic, environmental and social) are inscribed in the corporate culture, In other words, they are experienced on a daily basis, and companies fulfil their role as promoters of the sustainability.
