In an unstable and unpredictable world, where the only constant is change, it is essential for organisations to remain flexible and adaptable. Organisational change, whether cultural, structural or operational, can be a competitive advantage, but often generates resistance. Effectively leading change processes involves a great deal of analysis and planning and efforts to involve and motivate people.

This is a practical course with access to exercises to apply to real cases (a booklet with exercises to apply learning and develop solutions). It enables trainees to understand and deal with the uncertainty of the BANI world, enabling them to adapt effectively to disruptive changes. Trainees will be able to apply frameworks and tools to plan, implement and monitor strategic change in the organisation. They will also be prepared to minimise resistance and maximise engagement with change, turning challenges into opportunities.

Objectives

Characterising change and the BANI world;
Relate the principles of change management to other HR practices;
Know and apply approaches to evaluating change;
Carry out analyses to assess change, such as PESTLE, Stakeholder and Scenario Planning analyses;
Identify and be able to apply strategic responses to change (DSS Framework and Blue Ocean Strategy);
Apply change implementation models and recognise their stages and main errors;
Identify resistance factors and apply resistance management methods and techniques;
Know and use techniques for implementing change.
