This training allowed me, firstly, to develop technical skills in the use of the OPQ personality test and aptitude tests, as well as in the interpretation of the respective results, for subsequent feedback to the participant and support in decision-making. In addition to this main objective, I left with a strong motivation to rethink some of the talent management processes in practice in my organisation, in order to make better use of the tools used. The use of aptitude tests and personality questionnaires appropriate to the role and organisational context provides insights into people, increasing the objectivity of decisions and boosting business results.

With this course you will learn how to select and interpret the SHL aptitude tests and personality questionnaires.

By the end of the course, you will be able to

Describe a series of aptitude tests and personality questionnaires;
Identify and define the critical competences for success in a job;
Analysing and selecting the most suitable aptitude tests and personality questionnaires for talent management in your organisation, as well as interpreting the results;
Use the results of the objective assessment to make talent acquisition and mobility decisions;
Give oral and written feedback on the results of assessment;
Quantifying the benefits of assessment;
Take into account issues of diversity, equal opportunities and fair assessment;
Obtain accreditation as a User of the Aptitude Tests and OPQ Personality Questionnaires (Occupational Personality Questionnaires);
Apply for the Certificate of Competence as a User of Aptitude Tests and Personality Questionnaires (level 2 - level 3). Euro-Test Certificate) conferred by European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA).

Duration

This is a fast-track course which requires approximately half a day of pre-course preparation, followed by 21 hours of training + follow-up, after six months of using the OPQ questionnaires. You will be offered two online OPQ questionnaire applications, which can be used for follow-up.

Recipients

HR specialists, psychologists, junior psychologists, psychology students, and other professionals with higher education in Human Resources, who work in recruitment, selection, training and development, and who wish to use objective assessment of aptitudes and personality to support them in decision-making regarding employee selection and development. This training is accredited by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists, conferring 17.5 credits to members of the Order who successfully complete it.
