This document is the result of a strategic reflection on raising the average wage in Portugal, centred on skills development, productivity and wage transparency. The CEO of SHL Portugal was involved in its preparation, Susana Almeida Lopes, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive talent management, the sustainability of organisations and valuing people as the driving force behind economic and social growth.
This Policy Brief, in close connection with what is envisaged in the Recovery Plan and the Resilience for Portugal (2021), with emphasis on the Resilience dimension, component 6, draws up a strategy for increasing the national average wage by 2030.
It leverages the development of competences based on programmes designed with companies in favour of increasing productivity, associated with tax benefits; and the reporting of the salary range of organisations, to capitalise on the transparency and allow the link between salary and productivity.
