Competences are the basis of integrated people management, which in turn is one of the differentiating elements of high-performance organisations, often referred to as best in class.

This course enables participants to develop a Competency Model for their organisation or to improve/update an existing one.

The existence of a Competency Model, based on the business strategy and which can be applied to the various HR management processes (such as Selection, Performance Management, Career Management and Development) is the key to integrated management and, consequently, to organisational success.

Understanding Strategic and Integrated HR Management and the Role of Competence Models;
Function Analysis - methods and good practices for drawing up functional descriptions;
Requirements profiles (Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Competences);
Methods for Building Competence Models - Vision Interview, Construct Matrix Technique and Critical Incident Technique;
The SHL Universal Competence Framework - UCF;
Defining competences and drawing up competence models;
Application of the Competence Model to the different areas of HRM: Recruitment, Selection and Assessment, Training and Development, Evaluation and Performance Management, Career Planning and Management and Compensation Systems;

Objectives

Building Competence Models and knowing how to use them in different HR Management processes.

Methods used in the course

50% practical cases applied to the organisation;
20% group discussion; 
30% theoretical concepts.
