This course is aimed at HR professionals and managers who are going to act as assessors or observers in Assessment & Development Centres.

Simulation exercises or “live exercises” are among the most valid assessment techniques. In this way, they provide added value in identifying potential and in decision-making for recruitment/promotion purposes, as well as in identifying strengths and areas for improvement for the purposes of self-knowledge, development and career management.
Very practical, the Assessors course trains observation and assessment of behaviour in simulation exercises. Participation in this course, together with the Design and Implementation of Assessment & Development Centres, This allows you to obtain accreditation in Simulation Exercises (Business Simulations) from SHL and its autonomous use on the Talent Central platform.

How to observe and evaluate: Group exercises, Exercises in-tray, Exercises role play, Presentation exercises;

Feedback results, reporting and follow-up.

Objectives

Apply good practices in people assessment, using the ORCA method (observe, record, classify and evaluate), in order to make a more objective and equitable assessment;

Identify the different evaluation techniques that can be used in Assessment & Development Centres, familiarising themselves with the SHL instruments in order to make the right choice according to the job profile and objectives;

Dealing with the various practical constraints faced by an assessor;

Understand the role of the advisor/assessor and the co-ordinator of the Assessment & Development Centrer;

Analysing and integrating the information from the evaluation techniques used in the Assessment & Development Centres.
